Pool & Spa Wiring

So you just got a new pool or spa. You now need to have the power installed so you can enjoy it. There are many different requirements for the different types of pools and spas. But typically they will need to have a 240 volt electrical line ran to them. There are many safety concerns that have to be taken into account when you have water and electricity together. Your new pool or spa will need to be properly grounded and GFCI protected. Some pools and spas are hard wired meaning that they are permanently connected to the wiring and some are supplied with a plug in cord. There are different requirements for each type.
